Limits

Limitations

Runs inside InDesign and places the result on the current page; it is not a layout engine and does not alter existing layouts.
Outline read-back applies only to maps built node by node; maps produced by the generator carry no parent-child markers and are not read back.
Multiple text frames are layered by left edge: frames at the same level require aligned left edges; four to five levels are recommended.
Fonts must be installed locally; a family name resolves to its regular weight, and a missing or mismatched weight is recorded in the log.
Pantone colours require the matching library in the document.
Perpetual licence, one machine per card. Activation requires one online check; the licence works offline afterwards. Before activating on a new machine, unbind the original device.

Workflow

STEP 01

Select a source

Selected text, multiple text frames or a panel outline; Markdown / FreeMind / XMind import is also supported.

STEP 02

Edit the hierarchy

Rename, add, delete, re-level and reorder in the outline tree; switch to node-by-node build mode as required.

STEP 03

Set the layout

Five directions with mirroring; per-level size, font and colour; add relationship lines, boxes and summaries as required.

STEP 04

Build and continue editing

The result is placed on the current page and grouped; read it back as an indented outline to continue editing.

The result consists of native InDesign page objects and is grouped automatically; it can be ungrouped, edited, recoloured and extended with further relationship lines.

Licence and devices

Perpetual licence, one machine per card. Activation requires one online check. Before activating on a new machine, unbind the original device and enter the card key on the new device.
